Full Description
Faint cropmarks show a group of at least 7 ring ditches probably from Bronze Age round barrows. Seen in 2007 aerial photography. <1>
A probable Bronze Age round barrow to the south of Stag Wood Gate, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as a partial sub-circular ring ditch on 2022 Google Earth imagery <2>. The feature is approximately 13m in diameter and is positioned between two larger ring ditches, part of a SE-NW aligned row. It forms part of a larger barrow group of at least nine possible barrows. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
