Summary

The potential site of a rectilinear ditched enclosure with associated pits is located to the south of Dairy House, Winterborne Kingston. It is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2002. The features are of uncertain date and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Full Description

The potential site of a rectilinear ditched enclosure, with associated pits, is located to the south of Dairy House, Winterborne Kingston. It is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2002 <1>. The site comprises an outer polygonal ditched enclosure 44m by 27m in size, with an internal enclosure 12m across. The enclosures are associated with at least eight pits 2-4m across and are of uncertain date, they were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
