Full Description
A possible Bronze Age bowl barrow to the north of Rail Clump, Morden, is visible as a very low, degraded, sub-circular/slightly ovoid banked earthwork on current Environment Agency Lidar imagery [1]. The feature is just over 17m by 22m and forms a very low slightly elongated circular mound to the west of two more evident mounds, also probably Bronze Age bowl barrows (MDO 46501/46507). Alongside these, it potentially forms the southwest end of a loose row of probable barrows (NRHE Hob UID 1518301, 1518306, 1518308). A further barrow group (NRHE Hob UID 1518310) is located just over 500m to the east. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
