Full Description
A ring ditch is visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken July 25th 2001. Circa 21 metres in diameter, it lies at the eastern end of a dispersed groups of barrows and ring ditches. <1>
A probable Bronze Age bowl barrow is visible as a ring ditch cropmark and earthworks on aerial photographs and current Environment Agency Lidar imagery <2-4>. The feature comprises a 17m in diameter mound, visible on a 1940s aerial photograph and lidar imagery <2, 4> and an outer ditch of approximately 1.2m width, visible as a cropmark ring ditch <3>. It is situated within a larger barrow group and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
