Full Description
Nine hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (Royal Air Force 1947) and lidar imagery (Environment Agency 2021)in fields to the west of Sitterton Farm, Bere Regis. They range from 18m to 64m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits, the group has since been separated by the Bere Regis By-pass.
