Summary

Five hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery, in fields to the east of Horse Close Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch. They range from 15m to 23m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits.

Five hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 and lidar imagery, in fields to the east of Horse Close Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch <1-2>. They range from 15m to 23m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits.
