Summary

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947, in a field to the south of Warren Close Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch. They range from 23m to 37m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits and have seen been plough-levelled.

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1947 <1>, in a field to the south of Warren Close Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch. They range from 23m to 37m across and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits and have seen been plough-levelled.
