It is visible as a hollow, 20m across, on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project, it is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit.

An unannotated hollow is marked on the OS 2nd edition map to the north of Peat Hill, Winterborne Whitechurch <1>. It is visible as a hollow, 20m across, on lidar imagery <2> and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project, it is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit.
