Monument record MDO46402 - Undated long mound, Bere Regis

An elongated mound is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the southwest of Roke Farm, Bere Regis. It is 103m by 16m in size and cut into by a post medieval chalk pit. A narrow linear bank runs parallel with it on the eastern side. The feature is of uncertain date, it may be a post medieval pillow mound, a Neolithic long barrow, or part of the surrounding field system described in MDO46401. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
