Summary

A ring ditch, 12m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of the enclosure described in MDO46220. It is possible the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow or alternatively a later prehistoric hut circle (a gap on the south side may be the site of an entrance). The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

Full Description

A ring ditch, 12m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the west of the enclosure described in MDO46220 <1>. It is possible the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow or alternatively a later prehistoric hut circle (a gap on the south side may be the site of an entrance). The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
