Full Description

(SY 53729510) Iron Age 'A' pottery sherds exposed during ploughing. <1>

SY 53 9950. Several sling stones, with pottery comprising two jar rims of Iron Age 'A' character, one with corded type pattern, and undated coarse sandy ware, were found by ploughing about 50 yds North West of Eggardon Hill Fort. Now in Butcher's private collection at "Higher Sturthill Farm", Shipton. <2>
