A large hollow, 50m across, is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery <1>. It is marked as an unannotated hollow on the OS 1st Edition map <2> and is considered likely to be a post medieval chalk pit. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
