Summary

Fragments of a banked and ditched field system of possible later prehistoric date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of the River Winterborne, Winterborne Clenston. It covers an area of over 120ha which extends southwards into Winterborne Whitechurch. The field system extends to the north in record MDO46179. The field system was reused in the medieval period, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

Fragments of a banked and ditched field system of possible later prehistoric date are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery to the east of the River Winterborne, Winterborne Clenston <1-2>. It covers an area of over 120ha which extends southwards into Winterborne Whitechurch. The field system extends to the north in record MDO46179. The field system was reused in the medieval period, it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
