Summary

Worked flints found on the shore of the Fleet, and presented to the Dorset County Museum. Thought likely to be tools of Neolithic or Bronze Age date.

Full Description

(Area centred SY 64977830) Worked flints exposed on shore. Specimens presented to Dorset County Museum by H Shortt, 29 10 34. <1>

They were worked flints of chert type. Probably Neolithic - Bronze Age. <2>

Perambulation of the area revealed no finds of positively worked flints. The area is naturally stony with some chert. <4>
