Summary

A Bronze Age undecorated tripartite urn containing charcoal was found in a barrow between Wareham and Kingston, on Kingstone Down, near the Swanage road, in 1842. It is in the British Museum. The find location is not known but it may belong to one of the barrows in the Corfe Common area.

A Bronze Age undecorated tripartite urn containing charcoal found in a barrow between Wareham and Kingston, on Kingstone Down, near the Swanage road, 1842. In British Museum Acc. 1892.9.1.238. (Supposedly one of the barrows on Corfe Common-centred SY 960809 - see SY 98 SE 16 17 & 47). <1>

No further information was obtained during field investigation. <2>
