Three small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within East Down Plantation to the south east of East Down Cottages, Winterborne Whitechurch. They are between 12m and 26m across and considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Three small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery within East Down Plantation to the south east of East Down Cottages, Winterborne Whitechurch <1>. They are between 12m and 26m across and considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
