Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the north of East Down Lodge, Winterborne Whitechurch. They are between 15m and 22m across and considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Two small hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery in the fields to the north of East Down Lodge, Winterborne Whitechurch <1>. They are between 15m and 22m across and considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits; they were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
