Summary

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery immediately to the south of Whatcombe Down Dairy, Winterborne Whitechurch. They are between 15m and 18m across and western of the two has a large doughnut of spoil. They are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Two hollows are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery immediately to the south of Whatcombe Down Dairy, Winterborne Whitechurch <1>. They are between 15m and 18m across and western of the two has a large doughnut of spoil. They are considered likely to be post medieval chalk pits and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
