Full Description
An area of ridged cultivation to the west of Atwell's Copse, Corfe Mullen, is visible as narrow earthworks on a 1945 aerial photograph [1]. The features occupy a large historic field and may be those of ridge and furrow cultivation of possibly medieval date, although a later origin is also possible. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on current lidar imagery.
