Full Description
An irregular area of ridged cultivation to the west of Chalkpit Copse, Corfe Mullen, is visible as very faint earthworks on a 1959 aerial photograph [1]. The features occupy the north side of a larger historic field and may be those of ridge and furrow cultivation of possibly medieval date. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
