Full Description
An area of ridged cultivation to the south of Mountain Clump, Corfe Mullen, is visible as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs and current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1, 2]. The features may be those of ridge and furrow cultivation of possibly medieval date, although a later origin is also possible. They are contained on their east side by a banked field boundary of likely contemporary date. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
