Summary

An area of ridged cultivation to the east of Hill Farm, Corfe Mullen, is visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are very narrow and regular and may be those of post medieval cultivation, possibly steam ploughed rig. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

An area of ridged cultivation to the east of Hill Farm, Corfe Mullen, is visible as faint earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are very narrow and regular and may be those of post medieval cultivation, possibly steam ploughed rig. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
