Monument record MDO45924 - Medieval to post medieval trackways, Henbury Manor, Sturminster Marshall

Curvilinear ditched and banked features in a field to the southeast of Henbury Manor, Sturminster Marshall, are visible as earthworks on a 1945 aerial photograph and can still be identified on current Environment Agency lidar imagery. The features are considered likely to be trackways of post medieval date. One longer linear ditch follows the course of the parish boundary between Sturminster Marshall and Corfe Mullen and may alternatively form part of an earthwork feature associated with this, possibly indicating an earlier, perhaps medieval, origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
