Full Description
The probable site of a post medieval chalk pit is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery <1> in the field to the west of The Down House, Blandford St Mary; it is 44m across and surrounded by a doughnut of spoil. The site was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
