Summary

A survey in 1999 recorded a small quarry house here, at the south-east end of Acton, adjacent to a mine shaft on the east side. Four buildings were shown on the site in 1901, but three were left in 1928, one being the quarry house. The original building was 3m x 3.5m, but it was later extended by 1m. It has since been destroyed.

Full Description

A survey in 1999 recorded a small quarry house here, at the south-east end of Acton, adjacent to a mine shaft. Four buildings were shown on the site in 1901, but three were left in 1928, one being the quarry house. The original building was 3m x 3.5m, but it was later extended by 1m. A mine shaft existed on the East side. The modern OS Mastermap does not show any buildings and it may have since been destroyed.
