Summary

Fragments of a bank and ditched coaxial field system of possible later prehistoric origin is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery within and in the vicinity of East Down Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch. The main axis of the system is NE-SW (ENE-WSW); it covers an area of 37 hectares and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.

Fragments of a bank and ditched coaxial field system of possible later prehistoric origin is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs and low earthworks on lidar imagery <1-2> within and in the vicinity of East Down Plantation, Winterborne Whitechurch. The main axis of the system is NE-SW (ENE-WSW); it covers an area of 37 hectares and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
