Full Description
An extensive banked field system with some associated parallel cultivation marks is visible as low earthworks on lidar imagery <1> to the west of the Bath branch of the Somerset and Dorset Junction Railway. The boundaries generally fit in with the extant field system and are therefore considered likely to be of medieval or post medieval origin although some may be of earlier prehistoric origin. The features cover an area of 100ha and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM Project.
