Monument record MDO45837 - Iron Age or Roman ditched enclosure with associated field boundaries and trackway, Higher Dairy, Blandford St Mary

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 2007 to the south of Littledon Drove, Blandford St Mary. The enclosure is 43m by 35m in size and a small gap on its southern side is likely to be an entrance. The enclosure appears to be set within a ditched field system with an associated trackway. The features are considered likely to be of of Iron Age or Roman origin and were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.
