Summary

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1970, to the west of the northern end of Holly Brake, Charlton Marshall. It was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.

Full Description

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1970 <1>, to the west of the northern end of Holly Brake, Charlton Marshall. Only three sides of the enclosure are visible which is 36m across SW-NE. A small gap on the south-west side may be the location of an entrance. Two ditches, possibly field boundaries or part of an outer enclosure abut the southwest side. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.
