Summary

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995, 150m to the east of Sparows Nest, Charlton Marshall. The enclosure is 46m by 38 in size and has a large gap on its northern side which may be an entrance. Fragments of possibly contemporary ditched field boundaries are visible to the west and south. The features were digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AI&M Project.

Full Description

A sub-rectangular ditched enclosure is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs taken in 1995 <1>, 150m to the east of Sparows Nest, Charlton Marshall.
