Summary

A ring ditch, 16m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs at Blandford St Mary. The feature lies in close proximity to the possible enclosed settlement with associated trackways and pits described in MDO45743 and may be the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow or a later prehistoric hut circle. It was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.

Full Description

A ring ditch, 16m across, is visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs at Blandford St Mary <1>. The feature lies in close proximity to the possible enclosed settlement with associated trackways and pits described in MDO45743 and may be the site of a plough-levelled Bronze Age round barrow or a later prehistoric hut circle, it has a gap at the southeast side which may be the site of an entrance. It was digitally recorded during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM.
