Summary

Several banked and ditched linear features are visible as earthworks to the east of Lytchett Matravers on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries and/or trackways of potentially medieval to post medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

Several banked and ditched linear features are visible as earthworks to the east of Lytchett Matravers on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are considered likely to be historic field boundaries and/or trackways of potentially medieval to post medieval origin. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. The features are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
