Full Description
A later prehistoric multi-vallate settlement enclosure is visible as cropmarks and earthworks on aerial photographs and lidar imagery to the northeast of Rendezvous Plantation, Spetisbury. It lies within the field system described in MDO45687 and is presumably contemporary with it. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM. The enclosure has an inner banked enclosure approximately 120 across and an outerbank and multi-ditched enclosure over 200m across. Fragments of further rectilinear ditched enclosures are located immediately outside and to the east of the main enclosure.
