Summary

An area of parallel ridged cultivation marks is visible within a historic fields to the north of St Leonard's Farm, Lytchett Minster, as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs. The features are wide and curving and may be those of medieval broad ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

An area of parallel ridged cultivation marks is visible within a historic fields to the north of St Leonard's Farm, Lytchett Minster, as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The features are wide and curving and may be those of medieval broad ridge and furrow. They were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
