Summary

A probable post medieval tree enclosure ring is visible as a banked and ditched circular earthwork to the east of Lytchett Matravers on a 1948 aerial photograph. The feature is shown on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 map. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A probable post medieval tree enclosure ring is visible as a 20m in diameter banked and ditched circular earthwork to the east of Lytchett Matravers on a 1948 aerial photograph [1]. The feature is shown on the OS 1st Edition 1:2500 map [2]. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.The feature is below tree cover and not visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
