Full Description
A banked linear feature is visible as an earthwork to the east of Lytchett Matravers on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2]. The feature aligns with the historic field pattern which comprises several narrow rectilinear N-S aligned holdings, as survived in 1946/1947 [1, 2]. It is considered likely to be a historic field boundary of potentially medieval to post medieval origin. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
