Full Description
A banked linear feature is visible to the east of Lytchett Matravers as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature is considered likely to be a historic field boundary of potentially post medieval origin. It is not shown on the OS historic mapping but may pre-date boundaries associated with early 20th century allotments at his location, documented on the OS 2nd Edition map. The feature was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
