Full Description
An area of parallel ridged cultivation marks are visible to the east of Lytchett Matravers as earthworks on 1940s aerial photographs [1, 2]. The features are wide and curving and may be those of medieval broad ridge and furrow. They are located with a field showing as rough ground on OS historic mapping and on an aerial photograph dated 1946. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project. They are no longer visible on 2021 APGB imagery.
