Summary

Former Wesleyan Methodist Chapel opened 1847, and much altered since. It was in use as a workshop in 2009. The walls are of cob, with a render covering, and the roof has slate that replaced earlier thatch. A simple hall orientated north-south, with the doorway to the south. The record for this monument has been enhanced with support from Wessex Water.

Full Description

ST 90450894. An early 19th century Methodist Chapel with cob walls, and until recently with a thatched roof. <1.>

23 March 2009 considered for listing and rejected at sift. At this time the building had rendered walls and a slate roof. The interior retained some of the wooden panelling and possibly a font, but it had been extensively modified to be used as a workshop. <3>
