A probable post medieval extractive pit to the south of Henbury House, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs. The feature is within an area of intensive sand, gravel and clay extraction and is now absorbed within a large modern extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

A probable post medieval extractive pit to the south of Henbury House, Sturminster Marshall, is visible as an earthwork on 1940s aerial photographs [1]. The feature is within an area of intensive sand, gravel and clay extraction and is now absorbed within a large modern extractive pit. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
