Full Description
Traces of 'celtic' fields are visible as cropmarks on air photographs taken July 25th 2001. Located on a north-facing slope of Barton Hill, the cropmarks cover an area of circa 400 metres east-west by 100 metres north-south, and may be linked to the system to the west already recorded as ST 91 SW 36. A watercourse linked to ring ditch ST 91 SW 111 also appears to be channelled through the terraces/lynchets. <1>
