Full Description
An extensive cluster of probable post medieval chalk pits are visible as earthworks within Birch Coppice, Witchampton, on current Environment Agency lidar imagery [1]. Some of the features appear to be positioned in rows, perhaps following seams of chalk. The features were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
