Full Description

A lynchet ca 10.0 m long and 0.5 m deep was noted in the gas-pipeline trench section at ST 8735 1240. No dateable material. <1>

[Note: The coordinates on the HER Map for 888090 come out in Gussage St Michael in East Dorset. However, on the NRHE database for the record 888090 the location is given as Iwerne Courtney Or Shroton in North Dorset so there is some question as to this monuments actual location. The database entry for the record 888090 saying it is in Iwerne Courtney Or Shroton would appear to be correct given the summary mentioning that it is near Ranston Farm (ie MDO13886 which is in the civil parish of Iwerne Courtney Or Shroton) and the description gives pipeline coordinates that are, indeed, near the farm in Iwerne Courtney Or Shroton.]
