Full Description

(ST 9310) A bronze, double oval buckle from Tarrant Hinton is in the Dorset County Museum. Across one of the curves it has three lines or notches apparently made with a file. Listed under Celtic and Roman bronze objects (No.Br 118). <1>

The buckle is probably Medieval. (Compare with buckle found at Gussage St. Michael, ST 91 SE 18). <2>
