Summary

A sub-circular ring ditch is visible to the east of Tarrant Monkton as a faint cropmark on aerial photographs. The feature may be the outer ditch around a plough levelled Bronze Age round barrow. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.

Full Description

A sub-circular ring ditch is visible to the east of Tarrant Monkton as a faint cropmark on aerial photographs [1, 2]. The feature measures approximately 14m in diameter and may be the outer ditch around a plough levelled Bronze Age round barrow. It was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour AIM project.
