Type and Period (1)

Full Description

The house is of 17thc. origin, and retains one original 2-light window. <2>

The farm is known as CORFE FARM. I believe the brochure prepared for its sale a few years ago gave it a date sometime in the sixteen hundreds <3.1>. A stonebuilt well preserved farmhouse with no feature of dateable antiquity apart from the two light mullioned window referred to in T2 which is in the upper floor of the west face of the house. It has a dripstone over it. Only one period of building was noted from external examination apart from lean-to corrugated erections which mask part of the North and East faces of the house. <3>
