Full Description
An Old Chalk Pit is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map on Quarleston Down, Bryanston [1]. It is 35m across and visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [2]; it was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project and is considered to be a Post Medieval chalk pit.
