Summary
Three unannotated hollows are marked on the Ordnance Survey 5th edition map in the field between Down End Farm and France Down, Blandford Forest, Stourpaine. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits. The hollows, and a fourth hollow not marked on the map, are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.

Full Description
Three unannotated hollows are marked on the Ordnance Survey 5th edition map [1] in the field between Down End Farm and France Down, Blandford Forest, Stourpaine. They are considered likely to be the sites of post medieval chalk pits. The hollows, and a fourth hollow not marked on the map, are visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [2] and were digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
