Summary

A large unannotated hollow over 60m across is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map to the south of Stourpaine village. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project; it is considered to be a Post Medieval chalk pit.

A large unannotated hollow over 60m across is marked on the Ordnance Survey 1st edition map [1] to the south of Stourpaine village. It is visible as earthworks on lidar imagery [2] and was digitally plotted during the Dorset Middle Stour Catchment AI&M Project.
