Summary

Parish Church rebuilt in 1846 by G Alexander. Walls of greensand ashlar with chamfered plinth, diagonal buttresses, and a string course. Gable-ended, tiled roofs with stone copings. 13th century font reused. In the 'Perpendicular' style. The record for this monument has been enhanced with support from Wessex Water.

Church of St Mary. Parish church. Among the fittings reused from the old church are a C13th font. <3>

'(1) THE PARISH CHURCH OF ST MARY, was wholly rebuilt in 1846, in the 'perpendicular' style (Builder IV (1846), 393) to designs by G. Alexander; it has ashlar walls and tile-covered roofs. Drawings by J.C. Buckler of the former church in the B.M. (Add,MS., 36361,152-5). Fittings from the church are incorporated in the 19th-century building.'
